Department of Interior National-Level Exercise Series
Prestige Analytics, as part of a collaborative team, led the successful design, development, conduct, and evaluation of the Department of the Interior’s NLE 2022 Functional Exercise (FE). The exercise was a two-day event involving field, regional and headquarters participants designed to validate plans and procedures, and the coordination, command, and control between participants to include the use of a regional multi-agency coordination (MAC) group in response to a catastrophic earthquake scenario on the Cascadia Subduction Zone.
Objectives of the exercise were to:
Assess and validate the coordination and information management structures outlined in the DOI Region 9 Operations plan to facilitate efficient and effective response and recovery operations.
Review and validate the assessment and reporting processes that inform employee accountability, station status, and the potential impacts to DOI Mission Essential Functions during response to catastrophic disasters.
Demonstrate the ability to provide information and resources coordination support to the regional bureaus through the EMC, DEST, IMAT and other emergency management teams.
Assess and document inter-agency requests for assistance and technical support for the Cascadia subduction earthquake scenario and incorporate into future contingency plans.
