Mongolia National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Nation-wide Earthquake Preparedness Exercise Series
Prestige Analytics, as part of an ongoing technical assistance contract with the United States Forest Service, Office of the Chief - International Programs, led the development of the Mongolian NEMA earthquake functional exercise, which spanned a period of five days and included over 900 participants from 118 separate agencies and non-government organizations (NGO), and over 6,000 citizen players, who were evacuated and trained on shelter deployment, CPOD operations, and general disaster preparedness and response activities.
The Prestige Team provided direct advisory support as part of the exercise planning team, coordinated stakeholder meetings between government, NGO, and community leaders to develop exercise play, control, and evaluation for the entire exercise. Based on the after-action reporting from the exercise, the NEMA leadership has continued their implementation of the ICS system nation-wide, with the incorporation of their local NGOs and communities as part of the planning process.
